Cybersecurity Engineer – Internal Security

About the role

Bolt is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer focused on internal security to protect its global mobility platform. You will work across multiple technology stacks, helping to detect, prevent and mitigate security vulnerabilities for both internal users and external adversaries.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams as a security expert and advisor, providing long‑term risk mitigation guidance.
• Create and update threat models to address modern attack vectors.
• Participate in detection engineering initiatives covering both legacy and emerging threats.
• Build and maintain tools for security automation, monitoring, detection, discovery and mitigation.
• Stay current with the latest IT security news and research.
• Experiment with new tools and ideas supported by an open‑minded team.

Required profile

• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages and modern software development practices.
• University degree in cybersecurity or a related field.
• Experience investigating logs, identifying anomalies and creating detection rules using log management platforms and SIEM tools.
• Ability to leverage existing security technologies such as EDR, MDM and Linux environments.
