FinCrime Operations Quality Senior Lead

About the role

Wise is seeking a Senior Quality Lead to own the quality strategy for its FinCrime operations. In this role you will translate regulatory strategy into practical processes, ensuring AML, fraud and sanctions controls remain robust while delivering the fast, effortless service Wise customers expect.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Quality Leads and Specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety.
• Translate high‑level quality objectives into phased implementation plans that optimise processes without disrupting day‑to‑day operations.
• Forecast demand, plan capacity and allocate resources across the FinCrime quality squad.
• Partner with analytics teams to build dashboards, analyse risk and quality trends, and inform strategic decisions.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on FinCrime domains (AML, fraud, sanctions, reporting) and embed risk‑based quality assurance across tools and workflows.
• Manage internal audit interactions, escalations and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Drive end‑to‑end delivery of complex quality initiatives, aligning them with company‑wide OKRs and collaborating with product and operations stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading quality or compliance teams in a financial‑services environment.
• Deep knowledge of global AML/CFT regulations and FinCrime operational processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn data insights into actionable improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior executives.
• Demonstrated ability to develop talent, conduct career check‑ins and build clear growth pathways.
