Lead Accountant, New Bets

About the role

As the first Senior Accounting Lead for Bolt's New Bets group, you will deliver high‑quality bookkeeping, VAT compliance and financial reporting through an AI‑supported accounting platform. You will work directly with early‑stage clients while shaping the processes, rules and standards that will scale across future markets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end bookkeeping, VAT filing and financial reporting for clients using the AI‑enabled platform.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve automation, define accounting rules and validate new functionality from an accounting perspective.
• Review AI‑generated accounting work to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance before delivery.
• Design and implement accounting processes, quality standards and review procedures that can be replicated as the service expands.
• Build and lead a growing accounting team, translating established processes into a scalable blueprint.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior accounting or bookkeeping roles, preferably within Nordic or Baltic markets.
• Track record of introducing or improving accounting technology and automation.
• Strong understanding of VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work hands‑on with clients while developing long‑term operational frameworks.
