Mid/Senior Data Engineer – Risk & Finance Reporting

About the role

Join Luminor's Risk and Finance Reporting unit as a Mid/Senior Data Engineer. You will help build the data engineering foundation that supports regulatory reporting and banking analytics across the Baltic region.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve data ingestion, processing, storage and sharing systems.
• Build and optimise scalable, reliable data architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, security, availability and performance across all environments.
• Collaborate with analysts, software engineers and business stakeholders to translate data needs into robust solutions.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues and fix defects.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and DevOps best practices for data workflows.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer (financial industry experience is a plus).
• Strong command of SQL and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink).
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
