Senior Embedded Android Audio Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Android Audio Engineer to join Unikie's international automotive team. You will develop and integrate Android‑based audio software for a complex product platform, collaborating closely with software and hardware groups.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and debug Android embedded audio platform software using C/C++.
• Design and troubleshoot Android Audio HAL and AudioFlinger components.
• Configure and debug audio routing, policies, ALSA interfaces, and device/mixer settings.
• Integrate and validate Audio DSP and signal‑processing functions within the Android audio stack.
• Investigate and resolve complex audio issues across Android Framework, HAL, Linux/ALSA, DSP, and hardware layers.
• Work hands‑on with target hardware, test benches, and measurement equipment.
• Support platform bring‑up, integration, release, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with audio developers, embedded engineers, architects, hardware teams, and customers.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience in C and C++ for embedded or platform‑level development.
• Extensive hands‑on work with Android/AOSP, specifically in the audio domain.
• Proven experience developing, integrating, or debugging Android Audio HAL.
• Familiarity with Android Audio Framework components such as AudioFlinger.
• Solid knowledge of ALSA and Linux audio architecture.
• Practical experience with Audio DSP or digital signal processing in embedded systems.
• Background in automotive audio, infotainment, or comparable embedded audio platforms.
• Experience debugging and validating software on target hardware or test benches.
