Senior Security Consultant – Cloud & Compliance (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Consultant to guide our entry into the Chinese market for cloud‑based solutions and software products. This fully remote position will work closely with global cross‑functional teams to ensure regulatory, cybersecurity, and data‑privacy compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess regulatory, cybersecurity, data‑privacy, and compliance requirements for operating digital products and cloud services in China.
• Advise on suitable operating models, hosting options, and cloud‑architecture approaches.
• Define compliance and security requirements aligned with global standards and corporate governance.
• Identify risks, regulatory constraints, and market‑entry challenges, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Support stakeholder alignment across business, legal, compliance, privacy, security, and technology teams.
• Provide a practical roadmap and recommendations for a compliant go‑to‑market execution in China.
• Facilitate discussions and guide the organization through the full market‑entry process, including legal‑entity and regulatory obligations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity and compliance roles.
• Deep expertise in cybersecurity and compliance regulations, especially for cloud services.
• Strong understanding of China’s regulatory landscape, including data‑residency and privacy laws.
• Hands‑on knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure China.
• Proven ability to bridge legal, compliance, privacy, security, and technical considerations for market‑entry strategies.
• Advanced level of English.
