System Administrator

About the role

Sunly is seeking a hands‑on System Administrator to own and evolve its server infrastructure. You will ensure that the physical and virtual environments are stable, secure, and ready to scale as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, deploy and maintain Linux and Windows servers, both physical and virtual.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V or Proxmox.
• Define and enforce consistent server configuration standards.
• Oversee storage capacity, redundancy and performance.
• Design, implement and regularly test backup and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Deploy monitoring and alerting solutions for servers and services.
• Collaborate with IT teams to identify performance bottlenecks and capacity risks.
• Maintain security baselines and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Handle server‑side network configuration, including IP addressing, hostname resolution and DNS records.
• Document architecture diagrams, configurations and runbooks, and manage system lifecycle including migrations and decommissioning.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience administering Linux and/or Windows server environments.
• Strong understanding of virtualization, backup, disaster recovery and monitoring.
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security‑focused infrastructure management.
• Curiosity to improve systems rather than just keep them running.
• Genuine interest in renewable energy and leveraging innovation and AI.
