Senior Analyst, Financial Control

About the role

Checkout.com is expanding its finance team in Tallinn and is looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Analyst in Financial Control. You will help strengthen accounting operations and improve the robustness of financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
• Assist with financial reconciliations, journal entries and variance analysis.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls to protect data integrity.
• Collaborate with the finance manager to develop insightful performance reports.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare required documentation.
• Support external audit activities by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations across Estonia, Mauritius, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and other locations.
• Contribute to global projects such as the implementation of new financial systems, tools and multi‑currency reporting processes.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting within a high‑volume, complex environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to juggle multiple deliverables while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Experience with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Familiarity with multi‑currency financial reporting.
