Senior Security Engineer

About the role

Wrike’s Security team protects the integrity of data across its work‑management platform. As a Senior Security Engineer you will own and evolve the security posture for production, Kubernetes, and GCP environments, building a "secure by default" infrastructure that enables rapid development without compromising safety.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve security controls such as hardening, network segmentation, IAM, and endpoint protection across the entire fleet.
• Lead the technical direction for enterprise posture management, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
• Partner with ITOps, SysOps, DevOps and XOps to embed security into architecture and change‑management processes.
• Develop and maintain the SIEM strategy and supporting infrastructure for proactive visibility.
• Educate and coach engineering teams on secure system design, raising the organization’s security IQ.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with GCP permissions and security configurations, as well as Kubernetes, Azure, and on‑prem environments.
• Strong background in intrusion detection, exploit development, Linux operations, and overall security architecture.
• Proven ability to identify gaps in cloud designs and recommend enhancements for authentication, authorization, and bastion host setups.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex security risks into actionable insights for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Track record of managing large, complex projects autonomously.
