AI Micro-Drama Creative Director (100% Remote)

About the role

Foxelli Group is building an AI-powered entertainment studio that produces vertical micro-drama series for US audiences, mainly women aged 35-55. It is looking for a creative director with strong storytelling instincts, cinematic taste and a deep understanding of human emotion. The role is 100% remote, on a contract/freelance basis, and pays a fixed service fee of 2,000-5,000 EUR per month depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Review season storylines and episode screenplays, evaluating storytelling, emotional impact, character motivations, hooks and cliffhangers, and give actionable feedback to screenwriters
• Set the visual style and creative standards for each series and guide AI video creators on cinematography, framing, lighting and emotional delivery
• Review generated footage and approve scripts and final episodes before release
• Review edited episodes for pacing, tension, music, sound design and visual storytelling, and give prioritised feedback to editors
• Help the team increase production speed without losing quality, improve workflows and use audience feedback and retention data to improve future episodes

Required profile

• Experience directing drama, romance, thrillers, soap operas or telenovelas
• Experience leading creative production teams
• Understanding of audience retention and performance-driven storytelling
• Excellent English communication skills; availability of at least 5 hours during Eastern European time zone working hours for full-time roles

Required skills

• Experience with AI filmmaking tools such as Kling, Runway, Seedance or similar
• Familiarity with ReelShort, DramaBox or other vertical drama platforms (a big plus)
• Strong attention to detail and clear, pragmatic communication
