Global Head of Merchant Strategy & Planning

About the role

The Global Head of Merchant Strategy & Planning will lead the planning, forecasting and execution cadence for Bolt's merchant functions worldwide. Reporting to senior leadership, you will translate high‑level strategy into actionable road‑maps that drive acquisition, activation, retention and profitability of merchant partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own quarterly target setting, forecasting and progress tracking for the Merchant domain.
• Convert Merchant strategy into clear execution plans, priorities and measurable outcomes across Sales, Account Management, Operations, Enterprise and Commercial Enablement.
• Monitor performance across the merchant funnel – acquisition, activation, retention, CAC and LTV – and surface risks early.
• Hold functional leaders accountable for delivery against goals, timelines and initiatives.
• Lead large‑scale initiatives focused on merchant growth, activation, retention and profitability.
• Partner with the Director of Merchant on priority setting, trade‑offs, investment decisions and planning frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategy, planning, analytics, finance or consulting within a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution across complex, cross‑functional organisations.
• Comfort operating at senior level, thriving in ambiguity and driving alignment across multiple teams.
