Junior Software Engineer

About the role

Join Bally’s Interactive’s cross‑functional team as a Junior Software Engineer. You will be involved in the full software development life‑cycle, from design to delivery, using modern tools and AI‑assisted development platforms. The role focuses on services for identity verification, responsible gaming, and regulatory‑driven products for the UK and Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑volume, high‑performance Java applications using Spring and micro‑services architecture.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to build features with React and JavaScript.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to write, review and validate code.
• Investigate and resolve software issues, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Write unit and integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to services related to identity verification, responsible gaming, and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Junior‑level experience with Java development and Spring framework.
• Basic understanding of databases and micro‑services architecture.
• Familiarity with front‑end technologies such as React and JavaScript.
• Willingness to adopt AI‑assisted development as a primary workflow.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting (3 days onsite in Estonia).
