Principal Software Engineer – Browser Guard

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join the Browser Guard team at Malwarebytes. You will lead the development of next‑generation security features for a browser extension used by millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new protection features using modern technologies.
• Write high‑quality, maintainable code and accompanying design documents and unit tests.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and QA to deliver roadmap items on time.
• Build and maintain integrations between Malwarebytes products and external systems.
• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience delivering projects that serve millions of clients.
• Ability to estimate work accurately and manage tasks independently.
• Excellent debugging skills and a user‑centric mindset.
