Python Developer, DICOM

About the role

Supervisely is building an open‑source Python toolkit for visualising and processing 2D and 3D medical images (CT, MRI, etc.). We are looking for a Python developer to extend the toolkit with DICOM handling, data‑exploration apps and synthetic data generation features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement applications for data operations such as import, export, conversion and filtering of medical image formats (DICOM, NRRD, NIfTI, STL).
• Develop visualisation and exploration tools within the Supervisely platform, primarily using Python.
• Integrate best‑practice medical‑imaging pipelines and contribute to open‑source components.
• Collaborate with enterprise customers and community users to customise the platform and build Supervisely Apps.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, fix bugs, and improve documentation and tutorials.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional Python development experience.
• Interest or experience in medical image processing.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate effectively with global teams.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Working knowledge of medical image formats: DICOM, NRRD, NIfTI, STL.
• Basic understanding of HTML and Vue.js (optional).
