Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the full accounting cycle for our Tallinn entity, supporting the Rail Baltica railway project. You will ensure the integrity of the general ledger, deliver accurate period‑end closings, manage tax compliance and provide clear financial reporting while collaborating with internal teams and local advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping, invoicing and account reconciliations to guarantee GL accuracy.
• Prepare monthly and period‑end closings, balance sheets and supporting documentation.
• Oversee financial record keeping and document management.
• Coordinate VAT and other tax filings, liaising with local tax advisors.
• Work with payroll and social security providers through local advisors.
• Identify and implement process improvements across a multi‑site, international environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and at least B2 level Estonian.
• Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting and month‑end closing.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems.
