Accountant (Estonia)

About the role

Askend is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the full‑cycle accounting for its Estonian entity. You will work closely with the Chief Accountant and support the company’s international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue sales invoices based on contracts and work acceptance acts, communicating with clients.
• Enter and process purchase invoices, make accounting entries, and liaise with suppliers.
• Prepare payment orders, record and verify bank transactions.
• Compile expense reports and calculate daily allowances.
• Participate in month‑end closing procedures.
• Manage tax accounting, prepare VAT and payroll tax declarations (KMD and TSD).
• Make accounting entries, ensure accuracy of account balances, and submit statistical reports.
• Support audit processes and assist the Chief Accountant with payroll accounting.

Required profile

• Higher education in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.
• At least 3 years of independent full‑cycle accounting experience for an Estonian company.
• Experience participating in audit processes.
• Excellent Excel skills and strong organisational abilities.
• Proficiency in Merit Aktiva.
• Fluent in Estonian and English, both written and spoken.
