Senior Protocol Engineer (Distributed Systems, Blockchain Cryptography)

About the role

TechBiz Global is recruiting a Senior Protocol Engineer for a leading blockchain client. You will drive the design and implementation of next‑generation consensus models, build secure EVM‑based systems, and mentor a high‑performing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of EVM‑based blockchain infrastructure.
• Design and implement Proof‑of‑Stake and other consensus algorithms.
• Build and optimise smart‑contract platforms and related tooling.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define technical strategy and roadmap.
• Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Drive decentralisation, scalability and performance improvements.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in blockchain protocols, distributed systems or AI infrastructure.
• 7–8 years hands‑on experience with consensus algorithms and cryptography.
• Proven track record designing blockchain protocols.
• Strong software engineering background with experience in Rust, Go, Solidity, JavaScript or Ruby.
• 10 years of experience leading technical teams in blockchain/crypto companies.
• Contributions to open‑source blockchain projects and a reputation as an innovator.
