Anti-Money Laundering Analyst

About the role

We are a leading global digital‑asset and cryptocurrency exchange expanding across Europe under the new MiCA framework. The Anti‑Money Laundering Analyst will own corporate onboarding and ongoing monitoring for high‑risk clients, ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting a fast‑moving, remote‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous CDD and EDD reviews for corporate and high‑risk clients in the European market.
• Perform comprehensive Customer Risk Assessments, including detailed risk scoring.
• Manage sophisticated KYB reviews, identifying and verifying Ultimate Beneficial Owners and complex ownership structures.
• Review Source of Funds and Source of Wealth documentation for onboarding and monitoring decisions.
• Investigate transaction monitoring alerts, detect suspicious fiat/crypto patterns, and escalate high‑risk cases.
• Draft internal AML assessments and risk memos to support audit‑ready compliance decisions.
• Escalate suspicious activity and submit reports to the MLRO or Deputy MLRO in line with internal procedures.
• Proactively improve AML processes, operational controls, and documentation while mentoring junior analysts.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of hands‑on AML, KYB, or financial‑crime compliance experience.
• Strong expertise across CDD, EDD, corporate onboarding, KYB, risk assessments, and transaction monitoring.
• Proven ability to assess complex corporate structures, offshore entities, and high‑risk jurisdictions.
• Analytical mindset with excellent investigative skills and the capacity to manage multiple complex cases independently.
• Excellent written English and ability to produce clear, defensible compliance assessments.
• Willingness to work night shifts or flexible schedules to align with global operations.
