Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

Playtech is looking for an enthusiastic Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen the security posture of its cloud environments across Azure and Google Cloud. You will work closely with product, DevOps, IT and GRC teams to design, audit and maintain secure cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cloud security governance and monitoring.
• Maintain a Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solution.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, development and GRC teams to provide cloud‑domain expertise.
• Support and maintain cloud‑native security controls.
• Conduct security reviews for cloud environments and produce documentation with recommendations.
• Identify vulnerabilities, missing controls and provide remediation guidance.
• Stay current on emerging threats and cloud security controls.
• Participate in investigations of potential security incidents.
• Implement automation for security‑related tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical security role.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Workspace.
• Strong knowledge of CSPM and DSPM solutions.
• Understanding of cloud architecture, best practices, typical vulnerabilities and mitigations.
• Ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Familiarity with modern development approaches (IaC, CI/CD, containers, serverless).
• Broad IT knowledge including TCP/IP, firewalls, proxies, Windows/Linux OS, web and database servers.
• Basic scripting skills in Python or Shell.
• Basic understanding of AI tools to improve security workflows.
• Fluent spoken and written English and ability to work in an enterprise environment.
