Fuel Cell System Engineer

About the role

As a Fuel Cell System Engineer you will contribute to the design, development and optimisation of innovative PowerUP fuel cell power systems. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to create systems that meet performance, reliability and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, calculation and development of complete fuel cell systems or electrolysers, integrating fluid components, power electronics and thermal management subsystems.
• Develop system models using MATLAB, Simulink or LabVIEW to analyse performance, identify bottlenecks and optimise efficiency.
• Evaluate and select components such as fuel cell stacks, electrolyser units and balance‑of‑plant items, and design the overall system architecture.
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans to validate performance, durability and safety under various operating conditions.
• Analyse test data, implement design modifications and troubleshoot system‑level issues that arise during testing or operation.

• Willingness to relocate to Tallinn, Estonia.

Required skills
