Fullstack Engineer - Treasury Money Movement

About the role

Wise is hiring a Fullstack Engineer for its Treasury Money Movement team, which distributes Treasury operational funds across hundreds of bank accounts quickly, at minimal cost and at scale. You will design and build the services that power global treasury operations, automating the movement of large volumes of money so that the underlying systems remain fast, reliable and invisible. Only local candidates are considered, as relocation support is not provided; visa sponsorship transfer is available for locals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable microservices in Java/Spring Boot that handle billions in monthly volume with zero downtime.
• Propose and build the user interfaces that let operations work efficiently and safely.
• Develop the logic that handles real-world constraints such as bank-specific API quirks, holiday schedules and regional settlement cut-offs.
• Build and optimise the data infrastructure that keeps every movement of money accounted for, creating a source of truth for data-driven decisions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience with Java or other JVM-based languages and hands-on experience with the Spring framework.
• 3+ years of experience with React.
• A track record of clean, maintainable code and a belief in code reviews, open feedback and continuous improvement.
• Customer-first approach, ownership of problems and end-to-end project delivery, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
