Insights Analyst

About the role

Icelandair is seeking an Insights Analyst to analyse performance data and create value across the Commercial division. The role involves using analytical methods and programming to develop dashboards, reports and models that support decision‑making and help maximise revenue and profit.

Key responsibilities

• Build Power BI reports, dashboards, and analyses for departments across the Commercial division.
• Write and optimise SQL queries and work with diverse datasets and programming/analytics tools.
• Develop decision‑support and forecasting models and performance metrics.
• Manage analytics‑ and data‑literacy‑related projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Business or a related field.
• Experience in data analysis or Business Intelligence, preferably using Power BI or similar tools.
• Background in an operational, commercial or data‑driven environment, or project management.
• Proficiency with SQL, Excel, Python, R and familiarity with Databricks, AI solutions (Claude, Copilot) and semantic data models is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with fluency in English.
