Java Tech Lead – Cards Domain

About the role

Join our team as a Tech Lead! As a Java Tech Lead you will work in the Cards domain, leading and mentoring a team of Java developers, driving technical excellence, and delivering high‑quality, scalable Java applications. You will collaborate closely with business and IT units to define requirements, modernise applications and build cloud‑native solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, ensuring best practices and coding standards.
• Design and implement high‑quality, scalable Java applications for the Cards API layer.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define technical requirements and create detailed solution designs.
• Conduct code reviews, standardise development practices and modernise legacy applications.
• Provide high‑level effort estimations and identify technical risks.
• Ensure effective communication with business units, IT operations and external vendors.

Required profile

• Proven track record of developing and deploying Java applications.
• Professional proficiency with Java (21+), Spring Framework and Spring Boot (3+).
• Experience building cloud‑native applications, preferably on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of microservice architecture and software development methodologies.
• Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker and virtualization.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) for Pan‑Baltic collaboration.
