KYC Operations Senior Analyst - SMA (Night Shifts)

About the role

Wise is looking for a KYC Operations Senior Analyst to join its Tallinn Senior Management Approval (SMA) team covering night shifts. The role ensures that Wise meets regulatory and compliance requirements by reviewing high-risk customer onboarding, analysing customer behaviour and keeping KYC records up to date. It suits someone with experience in enhanced due diligence who wants to work in a financial crime programme.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve high-risk customer reports against policies and procedures, and analyse customer transaction history and behaviour patterns.
• Use external sources such as websites and company registries to verify customers and ensure they fit the risk appetite.
• Communicate with internal teams on escalated cases, guide peers and management on high-risk approvals, and draft SAR narratives when needed.
• Take part in SMA team projects, help update policies, training materials and SOPs, and support internal and external audits.
• Mentor the Senior Management Approval Analyst and communicate with customers by phone, email and chat.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in EDD, AML or a similar financial crime compliance role.
• Good understanding of AML/CFT regulations and customer verification frameworks, preferably from a market Wise operates in.
• Excellent verbal and written English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexible to work night shifts (early, mid and late night, weekends and public holidays) and to accept shift changes.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law or a related field, and ICA, CAMS or equivalent certification are a plus.
• Right to work in Estonia; visa sponsorship is not available.

What we offer

• Salary of 2,400 to 2,850 EUR gross per month.
• Night shift premium of 1.25x for hours between 22:00 and 06:00.
• Two weekend shifts per month; shift patterns are mandatory and can change.
