Localisation Specialist – Merchant Due Diligence

About the role

Wolt License Services is expanding its financial services across Europe and needs a Localisation Specialist to lead merchant due‑diligence (CDD) in one or more EEA markets. You will act as the local subject‑matter expert, ensuring onboarding and ongoing monitoring of merchants meet regulatory and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and document market‑specific CDD, beneficial‑ownership and monitoring requirements for merchant onboarding.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance to Sales, Merchant Operations and Onboarding teams on documentation, onboarding decisions and lifecycle events.
• Develop and maintain local onboarding procedures, playbooks and training materials.
• Monitor regulatory, legal and market developments that affect CDD processes.
• Collaborate with AML, KYC/B and Financial Crime Prevention teams to embed local requirements into risk assessments, controls and tooling.
• Resolve complex CDD cases, including high‑risk industries, ownership structures and legal‑entity verification.
• Participate in quality‑assurance reviews, identify process improvements and support testing of new products or market launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, Compliance or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in CDD, KYC/KYB, AML compliance, merchant onboarding or financial‑services operations.
• Strong knowledge of local business environments, legal‑entity structures and merchant onboarding practices in one or more EEA markets.
• Familiarity with AML/CFT regulations and CDD requirements for payment or e‑money institutions.
• Proven ability to support operational teams in a regulated environment and explain regulatory requirements in a business‑friendly way.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Professional fluency in English and at least one local EEA language is a plus.
