Powerplant Engineer

About the role

Magnetic Group is seeking an experienced Powerplant Engineer to join its Magnetic Engines team in Tallinn. The role involves overseeing the complete aircraft engine repair process and ensuring compliance with OEM and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow up the full engine repair workflow, including work scopes, AD/LLP statuses, NRCs, task cards, and engine condition reports.
• Review and interpret OEM documentation, BSI reports, engine monitoring data, MPA run reports, EDS and other technical information to support engineering decisions.
• Prepare and control technical documentation in line with OEM requirements and ensure proper documentation of completed work cards and repairs.
• Maintain communication with workshop personnel, engineering, QA, customers, CFM Customer Support Centre and external suppliers throughout the repair process.
• Monitor regulatory and technical updates, including ADs and OEM publications, and contribute to continuous improvement of engine maintenance activities.

Required profile

• MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field (aerospace education preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in aircraft engine overhaul, preferably with CFM56 and/or LEAP engines.
• In‑depth knowledge of OEM documentation, portals and technical software.
• Strong understanding of FAA and EASA regulations and ability to work with related documentation.
• Professional English proficiency (minimum B2) with strong analytical and technical documentation skills.
