About the role

Lightspark is building the Money Grid, an open financial infrastructure for instant payments. It is looking for a hands-on Regulatory Compliance Officer to run the compliance framework of its Estonian regulated entity. The role keeps the company on top of its regulatory obligations as it grows, turning requirements into working processes, checks, documents and registers that stand up to supervisory review. It is a second-line function, working closely with the head of compliance, management and other teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain internal policies and procedures, including redlining, version control and approval packs
  • Prepare internal compliance reporting, keep the compliance issue log and support supervisory reports and regulator responses
  • Run the compliance monitoring program, test adherence to procedures and track corrective actions to closure
  • Prepare compliance assessments for new products and material changes
  • Run day-to-day outsourcing oversight, including pre-outsourcing analyses, risk assessments, the outsourcing register and regulator notifications
  • Administer the fit and proper assessment cycle for managing body members and key function holders
  • Operate conflicts of interest and market-abuse controls, including disclosures, declarations and first-level reviews
  • Support complaints handling, including reviews, registers and root-cause analyses
  • Organize compliance training and maintain training records
  • Monitor EU and Estonian regulatory developments and prepare brief overviews for management
  • Work with Legal, Risk, AML, Operations, Product and Finance to embed compliance in daily operations

Required profile

  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, legal, internal audit or financial supervision at a financial institution, public authority or advisory firm
  • University degree in law, finance, business or a comparable field preferred
  • Fluency in Estonian and English, with a strong command of professional legal and regulatory vocabulary
  • On-site 5 days, full time, permanent position

Required skills

  • Solid foundation in EU financial services regulation (EMD, PSD2, MiCAR) and the Estonian regulatory framework
  • Precision in drafting clear, formal documents and policy redlines
  • Strong attention to detail in keeping registers, records and deadlines
  • Experience with fit and proper assessments, outsourcing oversight, supervisory reporting or compliance monitoring is a plus

What we offer

  • Gross monthly base salary of EUR 4,400 - 5,170, depending on experience and skills
  • Annual performance bonus and equity
