Senior AI Agent Engineer

About the role

Join Bolt’s newly formed AI team to build production‑grade AI agents that automate and act across the company’s People systems. You will define patterns, ensure safety and reliability, and help scale HR processes for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of AI agents, from design and implementation to testing, release, monitoring and maintenance.
• Design safe, action‑taking agents with input validation, scoped permissions, idempotency, retries and human‑in‑the‑loop approval gates.
• Build multi‑step LLM pipelines, retrieval‑augmented solutions and event‑driven workflows using the team’s orchestration standards.
• Establish evaluation, observability and safety practices, including regression suites, audit trails, cost controls and safeguards against hallucinations.

Required profile

• Advanced Python expertise and solid software‑engineering fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience shipping AI agents or LLM‑powered features that take actions across systems.
• Proven ability to evaluate, monitor and make non‑deterministic model behaviour reliable in production.
• Deep understanding of event‑driven, asynchronous architectures, APIs and cloud infrastructure.
