Senior AI/ML Engineer – AI Lead

About the role

Tickmill is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead applied AI initiatives, designing and delivering production‑grade machine learning systems that generate measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and productionise end‑to‑end machine‑learning models, including training, validation, deployment, monitoring and retraining.
• Lead AI use cases such as client lifetime value, churn prediction, and fraud/abuse detection aligned with business outcomes.
• Establish robust MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, environment promotion and lifecycle management.
• Implement model monitoring frameworks to track performance, data drift, quality and business impact.
• Ensure model explainability and transparency using SHAP, feature attribution and other interpretability methods.
• Define and enforce model governance, documentation, versioning and auditability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to build high‑quality data pipelines and scalable feature engineering.
• Work cross‑functionally with Product, Risk, Commercial and other stakeholders to translate business problems into AI solutions.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of experience building and deploying production ML models.
• Strong Python programming and solid software‑engineering fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale data processing (Spark / PySpark).
• Proven ability to deliver AI/ML solutions with measurable business impact.
• Experience with ML lifecycle tools (MLflow or similar) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
