Senior Mobile Engineer, iOS

About the role

Wolt is expanding its New Verticals business and needs a senior iOS engineer to build and improve the mobile experience for customers ordering groceries, pharmacy items, electronics and more. You will work across multiple teams, bringing your expertise to wherever iOS work is needed.

Key responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain native iOS features for customer‑facing journeys.
• Partner with product, design and engineering to turn needs into scalable mobile experiences.
• Design, implement and own product initiatives, including server‑driven UI components.
• Make technical decisions on architecture, testing, performance, observability and release processes.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure shared patterns and integrations work smoothly.
• Mentor engineers and raise mobile implementation standards across the organization.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and shipping high‑quality native iOS applications.
• Experience on large‑scale consumer‑facing mobile apps with multiple teams contributing.
• Pragmatic, product‑mindset balancing quality, speed and maintainability.
• Comfort with ambiguous problems and evolving environments.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical trade‑offs.

Required skills

• Native iOS development (Swift/Objective‑C).
• Mobile architecture, testing, performance optimisation, observability, modularity.
• CI/CD pipelines and App Store release processes.
• Server‑driven UI (SDUI) and component‑based view construction.
• Use of AI‑enabled tools to improve productivity.
• Android development and backend engineering (plus).
