Senior Software Engineer – BorderPatrol

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (BorderPatrol) (m/f/d) on an unlimited, full‑time contract to join our team based in Tallinn (with flexible working conditions).

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and ship robust, maintainable software, APIs and related workflows.
• Participate in technical architecture discussions and communicate design decisions.
• Attend regular scrum ceremonies as part of an agile cross‑functional team.
• Analyse business requirements, implement solutions and keep documentation up to date.
• Introduce industry standards and best practices to continuously improve the codebase and architecture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with C# and the .NET Framework.
• Proven experience building, shipping and maintaining cloud‑based applications.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, distributed architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server, and ORMs such as Entity Framework.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure is a plus) and messaging systems like RabbitMQ, MassTransit or Kafka.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and monitoring tools such as New Relic.
• Fluent written and spoken English; FinTech or banking experience is a plus.
