Software Engineer (Risk and Payments Team)

About the role

Playtech, a London Stock Exchange listed gaming technology company founded in 1999, is hiring a Software Engineer for its IMS Risk and Payments team in Tartu. The team handles large volumes of money flowing in and out of the company by integrating with external providers, banks and payment gateways, and builds systems that detect fraud, prevent money laundering and protect stolen or misused credit cards. The role suits someone with excellent technical and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software solutions and introduce new technologies within IMS
• Design, build, test and debug reliable, high-quality software
• Work with external parties and integrate separate systems via APIs
• Contribute to an automated testing culture and ensure code quality
• Create and maintain development documentation and help improve team processes
• Collaborate with the team, take part in retrospectives and own your work

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience with Java in a professional environment
• Solid understanding of core Java concepts and good theoretical fundamentals
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Comfortable writing clean, maintainable and testable code
• Team player who collaborates effectively and takes ownership of assigned areas
• Curious, proactive and open to learning new technologies
