Systems Engineer – Marine Electrical & Automation

About the role

Nordic Marine Technologies is a growing technology company developing hybrid solutions for the marine industry. As a Systems Engineer you will take a system‑level view of vessel electrical, automation and hybrid energy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define control philosophies, operating modes, transitions, interlocks and fault behaviour.
• Describe interfaces between equipment from different suppliers, including batteries, inverters, generators and automation systems.
• Prepare functional descriptions, interface and alarm lists, and test procedures.
• Take systems through FAT, HAT and SAT testing, commissioning and sea trials.
• Work with classification societies and contribute to the required technical documentation.
• Critically evaluate supplier solutions and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering education, completed or in progress.
• Experience with electrical systems in marine or comparable industrial environments.
• Proficiency in reading, evaluating and preparing technical documentation.
• Strong command of English, especially technical English.
• Systematic thinker able to work independently and identify root causes.
