Client Services Representative

About the role

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Client Services Representative to provide high‑level support to its active, experienced clientele. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, explaining sophisticated trading platforms, and identifying opportunities for technology‑driven improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve routine and complex client inquiries via phone, email, and chat with courtesy and sound judgment.
• Assist clients with IBKR Trader Workstation, Web Trader, Mobile Trader, trading modules, and analytical tools.
• Handle cash deposits, withdrawals, position transfers, and account administration.
• Provide product information, explain exchange, clearing, order types, routing logic, margin calculations, commissions, fees, and corporate actions.
• Coordinate with local and international client service teams and external departments such as Programming, Clearing, Cashiering, and Compliance.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of client service systems, policies, and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in client services or a comparable role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for phone, email, and chat interactions.
• General understanding of stocks, options, futures, FX, and fixed‑income instruments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IBKR Trader Workstation, Web Trader, and Mobile Trader platforms.
• Familiarity with order types, routing logic, and margin calculations.
