Data Scientist, 3D Point Cloud

About the role

Supervisely is building a top data‑science team focused on computer vision. We are looking for a Data Scientist specialized in 3D point‑cloud processing to develop, train and integrate state‑of‑the‑art models into our platform, enabling advanced perception and labeling capabilities for our users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines for 3D modalities and sensor‑fusion (LiDAR, camera, radar).
• Train, test, debug, compare and deploy deep‑learning models for segmentation, detection and classification of point‑cloud data.
• Integrate models and custom inference pipelines into the Supervisely ecosystem.
• Build automation tools and ML utilities that accelerate data annotation and model lifecycle.
• Explore recent research, experiment with SOTA papers and contribute to open‑source repositories.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, fix bugs, and improve platform stability.
• Collaborate with enterprise customers to create customized data and model pipelines.
• Share knowledge through technical videos, blog posts and community contributions.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to the product roadmap and improve documentation.

Required profile

• Strong background in machine learning and computer‑vision, with proven experience on 3D point‑cloud data.
• Hands‑on experience with sensor‑fusion technologies (LiDAR, radar, camera).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑moving team.
• Passion for research, open‑source collaboration and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Version control with Git.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and Vue.js (optional but welcomed).
• 3D point‑cloud processing and LiDAR/radar/camera data handling.
• Sensor‑fusion techniques.
• Machine‑learning and deep‑learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience building data pipelines and model lifecycle management.
