About the role
This senior leadership position will head the global tax function for a fast‑growing, acquisition‑focused technology organization. Based in Estonia with a remote work arrangement, you will shape worldwide tax strategy across U.S. and international taxation, transfer pricing, indirect taxes, tax accounting and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the worldwide tax function, covering U.S. federal, state, local, international, transfer pricing and indirect tax matters.
- Develop and execute global tax strategies that address cash taxes, effective tax rate, tax risk and business objectives.
- Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Corporate Development and international finance teams on transactions and strategic decisions.
- Direct international tax planning, entity structuring, compliance, and manage U.S. international tax provisions such as GILTI, FDII and foreign tax credits.
- Oversee transfer pricing documentation, intercompany arrangements and compliance worldwide.
- Lead tax due diligence, transaction modeling, risk assessment and integration for acquisitions.
- Manage global income tax provision, tax accounting under U.S. GAAP and indirect tax (VAT/GST, sales and use tax).
- Build a technology‑enabled tax function by applying AI, automation and analytics to research, compliance, forecasting and reporting.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive tax experience with significant U.S. corporate and international exposure.
- Deep technical knowledge of U.S. federal and international tax, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits and ASC 740.
- Experience in multinational organizations, global transfer pricing, M&A tax due diligence and post‑acquisition integration.
- Proven people‑leadership skills with ability to develop talent and manage external advisors.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical ability and communication skills for senior executive audiences.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx Tax.
- Experience using Sage Intacct or comparable tax/ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with AI, automation and analytics tools applied to tax processes.
