About the role

Wise is looking for a Finance Payment Journaling Specialist to join its Accounting team in Tallinn. You will be responsible for recording movements on internal bank accounts, supporting month‑end closing and ensuring accurate reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Record all movements on internal bank accounts.
• Execute month‑end closing tasks.
• Prepare bank account reconciliations.
• Assist in providing documentation for internal and external audits.
• Manage recording‑related queries via email, Slack, and Jira.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in recording and reconciliation processes.
• Support the team lead with projects.
• Assist with risks and controls related to financial records.

Required profile

• Must be based in Estonia with valid work authorization.
• Ability to work autonomously, make decisions, and take initiative.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Cooperative mindset with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Understanding of core accounting principles.
