Financial Accountant

About the role

Konecranes is looking for a Financial Accountant in Tallinn. The role consists of executing day-to-day accounting tasks under the guidance and supervision of senior team members such as the Financial Controller and Senior Accountants. It supports the transactional part of the Record to Report process and works closely with Group Reporting, the Tax Department, Treasury and Business Controllers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the transactional components of Record to Report, prepare journal entries and provide supporting documents
• Oversee P&L and balance sheet accounts and reconcile various data
• Assist with the general ledger close and prepare monthly reconciliations, including intercompany receivables, and resolve intercompany accounting disputes
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and document named internal controls
• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting
• Follow GDPR requirements in daily work and other duties assigned by management

Required profile

• University degree or economics school degree, preferably in Accounting
• 2+ years of professional experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a large multinational company
• Fluent written and spoken English; local or regional languages are a plus
• Team player, ambitious, proactive, flexible and energetic, with good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of IFRS standards
• Desired: proficiency with SAP, OneStream, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to follow harmonised accounting processes and document them
