Financial Controller

About the role

Sunly is seeking a Financial Controller to strengthen financial reporting and controlling across its group. In this role you will turn financial data into clear insights that support decision‑making for investments, projects and the overall business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate group‑level internal reporting to track financial performance of investments, projects and businesses.
• Analyse performance, KPIs and profitability, identify trends and deviations, and provide actionable insights for management.
• Produce financial analyses, reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders, including covenant reporting for banks.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, investigate variances and follow up with relevant teams.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process and assist due‑diligence, financing and capital‑raise activities.
• Collaborate with project, accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate, timely and consistent financial information.
• Improve reporting processes, financial models and controlling tools as the portfolio grows.

Required profile

• Previous experience in financial controlling, FP&A, financial analysis or a similar finance role.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Genuine interest in renewable energy and willingness to use innovation and AI in work.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial analysis and modelling.
