Financial Controller – Multi-Entity FinTech

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially‑minded Financial Controller to own the day‑to‑day financial management of a fast‑growing fintech business. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership, you will combine hands‑on accounting expertise with commercial insight across our Estonian, Cypriot and UK entities.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the monthly financial close process and prepare timely management accounts.
• Consolidate financial results across Estonian, Cypriot and UK entities and ensure balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods, and develop operational KPIs.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process, maintain rolling forecasts and support scenario analysis.
• Maintain short‑ and medium‑term cash‑flow forecasts, oversee AR/AP and credit control.
• Ensure appropriate banking and payment controls are in place.
• Manage statutory accounts, coordinate external audits and ensure VAT, payroll taxes and other filings are accurate and timely.
• Continuously improve finance processes, systems and internal controls.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar role.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Proven experience working with international, multi‑entity businesses and group consolidation.
• Strong understanding of cash‑flow management, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience improving financial processes, systems and controls.
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Experience in an SME or entrepreneurial environment is advantageous.
