Frontend Team Lead

About the role

Shuffle Up is a forward‑thinking online gaming B2C and B2B company focused on delivering transformational solutions and exceptional user experiences. We are looking for a Frontend Team Lead to manage a team of eight engineers, reporting to the Head of Engineering. The role combines people management, delivery ownership and hands‑on technical contribution.

Key responsibilities

• Act as line manager: conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, personal development planning and support career progression.
• Protect the team’s focus by managing incoming requests, reducing context‑switching and ensuring clear communication channels.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and the Delivery Manager to shape the roadmap, estimate work and break large initiatives into deliverable tasks.
• Partner with Frontend Architects to align work with the technical roadmap, enforce standards and guide tooling choices.
• Stay hands‑on on critical tasks: contribute code, perform reviews, fix bugs and participate in on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience with senior‑level depth in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Strong expertise in Angular and RxJS, including experience on large‑scale Angular applications.
• 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team, handling hiring, mentorship and delivery ownership.
• Proven ability to plan, estimate and decompose work while collaborating with product and delivery roles.
