About the role
We are looking for a hands‑on, self‑starting Internal Audit Manager to join Bolt’s Internal Audit function in Tallinn. You will manage audit, consulting and advisory activities, identify operational, financial and IT risks, and work closely with the Head of Internal Audit on strategic initiatives while overseeing day‑to‑day operations.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Internal Audit function by building business understanding, identifying key risks and supporting the annual audit plan with a comprehensive risk assessment.
- Plan and deliver audits, special reviews, investigations and follow‑up activities in line with departmental methodology, providing practical recommendations and securing management action plans.
- Lead complex problem‑solving across audit work and internal projects using structured thinking, data‑analytics techniques and technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Act as an independent sparring partner to regional, country and support teams by providing training, raising awareness of internal controls and sharing insights on evolving risks and opportunities.
- Lead and manage internal auditors by coordinating resources, owning hiring, onboarding, performance management and development of direct reports.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a public accounting firm or internal audit function, preferably in a fast‑moving digital global business, with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
- CIA certification and a university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field; additional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CISA, CRISC, CFE) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of internal audit practices, IPPF, and frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, ITIL and NIST, with the ability to apply them to internal control frameworks.
- Experience developing and using data‑analytics techniques for audit testing, solid accounting and finance knowledge, and familiarity with Workday, ERP, consolidation and management reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity and the confidence to build relationships, challenge constructively and collaborate in a multicultural entrepreneurial environment.
