IT Operations & Cybersecurity Specialist (Remote, Estonia)

About the role

A partner company, listed on behalf of Jobgether, is looking for an IT Operations & Cybersecurity Specialist based in Estonia. The role is fully remote and hands-on, managing day-to-day IT administration, supporting users and keeping secure digital environments running for several clients. It combines routine IT support with security initiatives such as vulnerability research, device hardening and incident response documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage user accounts, groups, permissions and licences in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
• Onboard Windows and macOS laptops into MDM platforms and maintain device configurations
• Handle first-line support requests such as password resets and access issues, escalating complex incidents
• Run weekly checks on patches, backups, security alerts and system health
• Document fixes, SOPs and runbooks, and spend about 20% of time on security projects (CVE research, hardening scripts, incident-response playbooks, ISO 27001 checklists)
• Improve workflows and security practices across a distributed client environment

Required profile

• At least two years of hands-on experience in IT operations, helpdesk, systems administration or a comparable technical role
• Strong written and spoken English; German is an advantage
• Reliable internet connection, a professional remote setup and ability to work independently across time zones
• Proactive, organised, detail-oriented with good troubleshooting skills

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration
• MDM tools such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf or equivalent
• Scripting in at least one language such as PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Preferred: M365 or Google Workspace administrator certifications, exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2 or similar frameworks
