Java Developer – Payments (Baltic IT Team)

About the role

Join Swedbank's Payments Baltic IT team to design, develop and maintain high‑quality Java applications that power our payment services across the Baltic region.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Java applications using the Spring Framework.
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications on OpenShift.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Use GitHub for version control and conduct regular code reviews.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to enhance application functionality.
• Implement messaging solutions using Kafka, MQ or RabbitMQ.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
