Junior Controller – Finance Business Partner

About the role

Stora Enso, a global leader in renewable materials focused on packaging, is looking for a Junior Controller to join its team in Tallinn on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027. The role acts as a finance business partner for a business area, business unit or group function.

Key responsibilities

• Act as finance business partner for the assigned business area or function
• Support controlling and financial reporting processes within the scope of responsibility
• Support closing, analysis and reporting activities accurately and efficiently
• Contribute to forecasting and budgeting
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive harmonization of end-to-end controlling processes
• Support process automation and other development projects
• Support ad hoc analyses for key stakeholders
• Take on substitutions as defined in the team's substitution plan

Required profile

• Economy education (high school diploma or university degree) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• 1-2 years of professional experience in business controlling or finance
• Understanding of basic accounting and controlling processes (closing, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting)
• Ability to build internal and external relationships across the organization
• Proactive, adaptable team player who takes responsibility and meets deadlines
• Fluent English, written and spoken; ability to work in a matrix organization in an international setting

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Excel
• Good knowledge of SAP, OneStream and Power BI is an advantage
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
