Marketing & Communications Director (Dual-use; Part-Time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Director to shape and execute Sky Spy’s marketing strategy on a part‑time basis. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will translate complex dual‑use technology into clear, compelling communications that boost visibility and drive commercial growth. The role is remote within Europe and offers the flexibility to scale from part‑time to full‑time as the business evolves.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall marketing and communications strategy, including budget, priorities and measurable objectives.
• Refine positioning, messaging and brand identity to ensure consistency across all external channels.
• Plan and produce content for social media, leadership profiles and the company blog.
• Lead PR and media relations, securing press coverage, interviews and announcements.
• Organise Sky Spy’s presence at exhibitions and industry events, handling stand design, marketing materials and promotion.
• Collaborate with partners on joint campaigns, co‑branded content and events.
• Brief and manage contractors and agencies for photos, videos, graphics and other assets.
• Track campaign performance, media coverage and inbound interest, using data to optimise spend.

Required profile

• 5+ years of marketing and communications experience with full responsibility for strategy and execution.
• Proven track record marketing complex technical or dual‑use products and delivering measurable results.
• Strong network of media contacts in technology, business or related publications.
• Excellent writing, editing and English communication skills.
• Self‑directed, organized and able to prioritize competing needs in a fast‑moving startup.
• Leadership and project‑management experience, including managing contractors and agencies.
