Payments Specialist (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Bolt is looking for a Payments Specialist to cover maternity leave. You will take full ownership of payment operations for assigned legal entities, making sure every outgoing payment, from supplier invoices and salary-related transfers to tax obligations, lands accurately and on time. You will work closely with Treasury, Finance and external banking partners to keep liquidity in check and operations running smoothly, even during peaks or team absences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute payment activities for assigned legal entities, including supplier payments, expense reimbursements, salary-related payments and transfers, tax payments and other corporate payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with internal procedures.
• Monitor funding requirements for assigned entities and payment accounts, working with Treasury and other stakeholders to ensure sufficient liquidity.
• Investigate and resolve payment issues and discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams, banks, suppliers and other external parties.
• Provide payment processing coverage for additional entities and countries during team absences, vacations and periods of higher demand.
• Identify and contribute to improvements, standardisation and automation of payment processes, taking part in system implementations, testing and operational excellence initiatives.
• Perform other payment operations tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Background in payment operations, accounts payable, treasury or a similar finance function.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and how payment transactions flow through financial records.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Clear communication in English, written and spoken, and coordination across teams and with external partners.

Required skills

• Confident use of ERP systems and electronic banking platforms.
• Experience with Workday or Kyriba is a bonus.
