Principal Android Camera Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Android Camera Engineer with deep expertise in Android Open Source Project (AOSP), C/C++, Qualcomm platforms, and camera/video systems. This hands‑on role involves working deep within the Android platform stack to solve complex system‑level issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in Android/AOSP platform development.
• Investigate and resolve complex platform‑level issues across camera systems, video, multimedia, graphics, composition, display, and hardware/software integration.
• Work with Qualcomm‑based Android platforms and platform‑specific components.
• Develop, analyze, debug, and troubleshoot native Android platform components using C/C++.
• Support development and integration of camera‑based hardware products and collaborate with Qualcomm and external partners.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and participate in architectural decisions for Android‑based products.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with significant Android platform development.
• Deep hands‑on experience with AOSP and strong proficiency in C/C++.
• Proven experience with Qualcomm chipsets and Android camera platforms.
• Strong understanding of video, multimedia, graphics, composition, and display systems.
• Excellent system‑level debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with distributed teams.
