Privacy and Compliance Expert

About the role

LHV, a bank based in Estonia expanding into the UK and Europe, is looking for a Privacy and Compliance Expert in Tallinn. The role partners with product and technology teams to make complex privacy requirements clear and actionable, helping the business manage risk as it develops products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product and technology teams to give practical privacy advice and carry out real-time impact assessments.
• Map compliance risks and carry out data-driven internal reviews.
• Maintain the Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) and privacy policies, and present clear risk reports to management.
• Manage privacy incidents.
• Liaise with supervisory authorities and take part in industry organisations.
• Train colleagues and help build a strong privacy culture across the organisation.

Required profile

• A degree in law, with solid experience in data protection and regulatory analysis.
• Good understanding of internal controls and second-line-of-defence principles, ideally in financial services.
• An independent, analytical approach and confidence in making sound decisions.
• Ability to turn complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance.
• Fluency in Estonian and English.
