Quality Assurance Senior Specialist

About the role

Wise is hiring a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Senior Specialist in its Tallinn office. The role provides independent, expert assurance over how work is done: spotting risk, identifying control gaps and turning insights into practical improvements. It suits candidates with extensive experience in AML investigation, SAR reporting, fraud and sanctions.

Key responsibilities

• Train and coach QA specialists, including accreditation and ongoing monitoring such as calibration and "check-the-checker" testing
• Scan ahead for planned changes to QA practices and adapt assessments accordingly
• Review the most complex and high-risk cases and lead thematic reviews using test scripts and scorecards
• Act as Subject Matter Expert, resolving escalations and coaching specialists on root cause analysis
• Lead calibration internally and with Operations, Products and Line 2, challenging QA findings against risk appetite and policy
• Use advanced analytics and AI to find trends and root causes, and present insights to stakeholders and forums
• Meet KPIs and SLAs, optimise processing times and take ownership of results

Required profile

• 3+ years of QA experience or equivalent case-handling experience in AML investigation, SAR reporting, fraud or sanctions, including coaching others
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Commitment to developing deep expertise through regulatory insight and emerging risk typologies
• Ability to train and coach QA specialists on testing, scoring and root cause analysis

Required skills

• Quality assurance methodologies, testing procedures, scoring criteria and continuous improvement
• Risk and compliance expertise, including interpreting policy and guidance
• Analytical review of complex customer files and evidence
• Proficiency with systems, dashboards and AI tools for data analysis
